I will use my legal experience to fight for your rights 24/7. I don't care about the status quo; I care about the collective agreement, the law, and most importantly, your rights
A vote for me is a vote for your most powerful ally. In this economy, the needs of the members have changed drastically. We don't need the same old 'organizers.' We need grounded, factual arguments to fight for lasting change!
Honesty and transparency
Our members deserve to understand how things work at all levels of the union.
I am committed to sharing my knowledge, tools, and strategies to educate members and stewards on how best to advocate for themselves and each other. Regardless of history or political affiliation, knowledge is power and I will always share mine.
Protect you from Workplace Violence
I will protect workers from workplace violence and discrimination. It's NOT part of the job to be assaulted, sexually harassed, or to be subjected to racist / discriminatory comments.
Whenever this happens, I will DEMAND that the employer take action. No exceptions!
Better conditions for part-timers
It's about time part-time workers stop getting the short end of the stick. Where is the logic in expecting everything from part-timers, while giving them nothing?
You deserve predictable schedules with flexibility, and a guaranteed number of shifts!
I will also be fully enforcing
your RIGHT to shift exchanges!
Accessibility
I will make myself available beyond a 9-5 schedule. Our members are working around the clock; why shouldn't we?
I will make myself available as much as possible, including evenings and weekends to better support our 24-hour workforce.
You deserve a unit officer who you can talk to on your time!
Accountability for Abusive Management
Abusive supervisors and managers won't be tolerated. Whether they micro-manage us, harass us, or are uncivil and rude; this will not stand!
I will make it my priority to help workers stand up to the supervisors who make our workplaces toxic. Management has just as much of a responsibility to be professional and civil as the workers. No more double standards!
